Popeye or Pops as I like to call him, an unregistered 20+, 30", black mini gelding.
 He was estimated to be around 20 when he arrived here 2016. He was surrendered along with his offspring, a 2 year old stud colt and yearling filly and their mother  as a result of a meth lab raid. 
This lil guy is pretty sweet and easy going but due to age and neglect he has his fair share of baggage and really needed a loving retirement home to spend his days. He arrived here with the worst teeth my vet had ever seen but they have been floated several times over his years with us and are in fair condition now. 
At some point in his life he had part of his right eye lid ripped off but other than the fact it is missing there is no other damage to his eye. During his intake examination our vet detected a slight heart murmur but was not overly concerned by it. Popeye was a stallion until his arrival here but was gelded shortly after his arrival.
After his first and only home offer fell thru last fall, we decided after 5 years here with us that both him and Olive deserved their own 'happily ever after' and they were given permanent sanctuary status on 9/11/2021.
